Write for us
Fresh Sporting World welcomes clear, original pitches that help curious readers understand sport. Send proposals through the Contact page, with a short outline and the question your piece would answer.
What to pitch
We consider explanations of rules, roles, equipment, tactics and formats across sports. A strong idea has a defined subject, a reader who will benefit and a distinct angle. It should stand on its own rather than rework a topic already covered here.
Make the case
Tell us the working title, the main point, the intended reader and what makes the subject worth explaining. Note any rules or competition context the piece depends on, and how you would handle it. Keep the pitch concise; a finished article is not needed at the proposal stage.
What we do not need
Please do not send generic match predictions, promotional copy or claims that require readers to accept unsupported expertise. A proposal should explain an idea, not promise results or assume that every reader follows the same sport.
How to send it
Use the Contact page and choose the editorial question option for your pitch. Include a way for us to reply in the form. A proposal is not a commission, and we will consider it on its merits.
